Through her exploration of culture, art and nature, the artist Erica Rönnbäck creates paintings with organic shapes and expressive colors. Different creative forms of expression constitute the backbone of inspiration. Among other things, the artist seeks to translate musical and pedagogical ways of thinking into painting. She believes, “The search for the right sound and tone unites music, painting and life.” Historical references, specifically those to women’s living conditions, help form the colorful expressions and suggestive figures in the paintings.
